The documentaries being released in Bangalore on Saturday. BANGALORE: The Janata Dal (Secular) on Saturday released two documentary films at a simple function held at the party office in Gandhinagar here. The documentaries on CDs entitled “Nava Bengalurina Kanasugara” (Dreamer of a new Bangalore) and “Nadesu Ba” (Come lead) revolve around the policies of the party. The first shows various developmental and social programmes taken up by the JD(S) for the development of Bangalore city and the second shows the programmes taken up by H.D. Kumaraswamy as Chief Minister in agriculture, industry and various social welfare programmes. Mr. Kumaraswamy’s visits to villages, the lottery and arrack ban, the Bhagyalakshmi scheme and many other programmes have been covered. ‘Holistic view’Releasing the CDs, JD(S) secretary-general Danish Ali said “the documentaries will give a holistic view of the achievements of the JD(S) government and the pro-people policies of the party”. They will be shown in all the 224 constituencies. Mr. Ali said Mr. Kumaraswamy’s intention of making Bangalore a world-class city had been underplayed by the BJP and Congress, but the JD(S), through these films, would take it to the people of the State.
