Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati has effected a minor reshuffle in the department of some of her ministers and allocated portfolios to the newly inducted members of the Cabinet, Rajpal Tyagi and Subhash Pandey. While Mr. Tyagi has been given the agriculture education and research, Mr. Pandey has been given the department of culture, an official spokesman said. Both Mr. Tyagi and Mr. Pandey were inducted into the Cabinet Thursday. Fateh Bahadur Singh who was elevated to the Cabinet rank continues to have the forest department while Ram Het, who was also elevated along with him, would have the additional responsibility of consumer security department apart from the State election department, the spokesman added. The Chief Minister has also allocated medical education department to the Parliamentary Affairs and Finance Minister, Lalji Verma, the spokesman said, adding that the department was earlier held by the Chief Minister herself.
