Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Government has decided to constitute a forum to ensure early disposal of various administrative disputes relating to service matters pending in the various courts. State Advisory Council Chairman Satish Chandra Misra on Saturday said that in about 58,694 pending cases in the various courts, counter affidavits have already been filed, whereas as many as 9,040 such cases have been finalised. As many as 1,961 other cases were disposed of by giving reprieve to employees from departmental action, Mr.Mishra said. “The chief minister has directed the officials concerned to work out the pending service related cases so as to reduce burden on the courts”, Mr. Misra said. He added that in cases pending in the high courts, counter affidavits would be filed within a month’s time. PTI
