Baalu announces compensation

CUDDALORE: Union Minister for Shipping and Surface Transport T.R. Baalu has announced a compensation of Rs.2 lakh to the family of Bikas Banzil (30) of Jharkhand, who died in the flyover collapse at Ramanatham near here on Thursday.

Calling on the six injured persons at a private hospital at Tholudur on Friday night, Mr. Baalu told presspersons that a cash compensation of Rs.20,000 was given to each of them.
