Criminal case against Nithari DSP
Ghaziabad: A deputy superintendent of police has been charged of “bribing and criminally intimidating” witnesses in the Nithari killings case. Special Additional District Gangsters Act Court judge Joginder Dayal ordered registration of criminal case against Dinesh Yadav in connection with “criminal intimidation”. He is booked under the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters Act.
Yadav was also allegedly involved in the murder case of Nithari killings witness Jatin Sarkar, father of victim Pinky Sarkar.
Though Khalid Khan, counsel for prosecution, had moved a complaint against Yadav before Ghaziabad district magistrate Deepak Agarwal and SSP Deepak Ratan on April 24, it was dismissed as the case was sub-judice.
Further hearing of the case has been posted to May 8. PTI
