KALPETTA: The police arrested a middle-aged man from Rajasthan on the charges of transporting hawala money in a surprise raid at Kalpetta on Sunday. The accused was identified as Narasaram (40) of Omitabad at Galor in Rajasthan. He was travelling from Bangalore to Kozhikode in a private tourist bus. K.Vijay Sankar, Wayanad Superintendent of Police, said the accused was carrying Rs.45 lakh in cash. The money was to be handed over to a person in Kozhikode. — A Correspondent
