It is no surprise to know that India is one of the largest producers of alcohol (May 3) in the world. It shows how liberalisation of economy has distorted the social ethos and values completely. The state governments are bothered only about their revenues and not about public health and social decency. It is really shameful to be topping the economic charts for wrong reasons. A.S.L.
