Harmison issues warning

LONDON: Fast bowler Steve Harmison has warned he will quit cricket altogether unless he earns back his England place.

Harmison last played for England in the first Test against New Zealand that ended on March 9. Harmison had recovered from several back injuries and lack of form to be named on the tour to New Zealand.

However, he was dropped for the second and third Tests in New Zealand. The 29-year-old bowler, who spearheaded England’s Ashes win over Australia in 2005, said he would likely retire from county cricket with Durham if he doesn’t play for England. — AP
