BERHAMPUR: Berhampur University would join hands with George Brown College of Toronto in Canada to come up with a new series of self financing professional courses. The students of these courses would avail twin degrees which would increase their marketability in the international job market. The university plans to sign an MoU with the George Brown College and start the courses in next six months. Jay Meekinnan, the vice-president of the Canadian institute was in the Berhampur university campus on Saturday to chalk out the details of the project. Under this collaborative project the university plans to start five to six courses related to computer science, Industrial Relation and Personnel Management, Business management, Electronics etc. Courses
The George Brown College is noted for its courses in computer science and Business administration. Speaking to newsmen, the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the Berhampur University, Bijay Kumar Sahu informed that these new post graduate courses would be of three year duration. The students taking admission in these courses would study for two years in the Berhampur university campus.
