Post-card campaign against Tirupati MLA
Special Correspondent
TIRUPATI: District leaders of the CPI(M) and its women’s wing, AIDWA, who are on a collision course with the Tirupati MLA, M. Venkatramana, protesting against his alleged tongue-lashing at women during his Praja Patham programme on Sunday launched a post-card campaign against the MLA.
Members of the AIDWA on Sunday dropped 1,000 post cards addressed to the Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy seeking his intervention into the ‘unparliamentary and the unprintable words’ the MLA had allegedly used against the women and also on how he ‘incited’ the policemen to arrest the women instead of hearing their grievances.
