Five injured in Tihar clash

NEW DELHI: Five inmates of Tihar Central Jail were injured in a clash between two groups on Sunday.

The incident took place in the afternoon when lunch was being served to the inmates. It is alleged that an altercation broke out between Kausar and Vikas over some issue, following which Vikas allegedly injured Kausar with a blade. His two other accomplices Rajpal and Rakesh joined in. Another inmate Shankar tried to save Kausar and sustained injuries.

The injured were taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Hospital from where they were discharged after first-aid. The police have registered a case and are investigating.
