Bus stir postponed

KOCHI: Private bus workers in Kochi have postponed the strike to be held on Monday over the issue of fair wages. This follows a conciliatory talk between the bus owners and the District Collector. The revised wages of the bus staff will be declared within 45 days.

Currently, bus drivers get Rs. 345 a day, conductors Rs.260 and cleaners Rs. 233.
