Girl’s claim on rape turns out to be false

New Delhi: A teenaged girl on Sunday claimed that she was gang raped in a desolate place in north-east Delhi but later it turned out to be a false case, police said.

Police received a call in the morning that a girl was lying in a park in Gokulpuri and she told investigators that she was gang raped on Saturday night.

The girl was rushed to Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital to carry out a medical examination, police said.

However, the tests did not confirm rape and during further interrogation, the girl admitted that she was not raped.
