Poet bags award

‘Maranamleni Jeevitam’, a poem penned by P. Srinivas Goud of Chirala, won the national award in the competitions conducted by the city-based X-Ray Cultural Organisation.

A cash prize of Rs. 5,000 and a memento will be presented to Mr. Goud in the anniversary of the organisation. Awards will also be presented to 10 other poems penned by poets from different parts of the State, a press release said.
