Azeez killed in fake encounter, says APCLC

HYDERABAD: The city unit of the Andhra Pradesh Civil Liberties Committee (APCLC) on Sunday termed the death of gangster Azeez Reddy in an encounter at Jubilee Hills on Wednesday night as “fake”. In a press release here, Committee president V. Raghunath said that the killing of Azeez Reddy was not a result of exchange of fire. “It was clearly a fake encounter as locals staying 60 to70 yards away from the spot had not heard any sounds of firing. It is impossible for anyone to see a person carrying a weapon in the darkness as there were no streetlights,” he alleged. An 11-member team visited the spot and enquired with locals.
