MPTCs to boycott meetings

HYDERABAD: The AP MPTC Association has decided to intensify its agitation by boycotting indefinitely the Mandal Parishad meetings from May 5.

At its State committee meeting here on Sunday, Y. Babu Rajendraprasad, MLC and president, lashed out at the Government for being indifferent to their demands. He urged all the 16,133 MPTCs, irrespective party affiliations, to intensify the agitation till the 33 demands were conceded to. A resolution was also adopted to this effect. It was declared that Rajiv Gandhi’s death anniversary on May 21 would be observed as ‘MPTCs protest day’.
