A touch of glamour: Actor Hansika Motwani admires the texture and design of a saree at Kalaniketan showroom in Vijayawada on Saturday. — VIJAYAWADA: The flawlessness of her skin almost tempts one to ask her what groundbreaking formula she has been adopting to acquire such radiance. Armed with an equally sparkling smile, up-and-coming Telugu film actor Hansika Motwani showed up at the inauguration of Kalaniketan shopping mall on Mahatma Gandhi Road on Saturday. Draped in a bright green and pink silk sari that seemed prettier on her, Hansika was all grace and poise, as she walked in to a huge gathering waiting to catch a glimpse of the young heartthrob. GuestsThe ground floor bustled with guests invited to attend the inaugural function. Some of the shrewd ones took the initiative to climb up the stairs. They soon occupied the porches of all the four floors to catch a better view of the actor from top and have a grandstand view of the proceedings below. The actor, said to be in her sweet teens, finally arrived, though behind schedule by an hour, but more than made up for the lost time. AuraHer warm smile, the chiselled features and the unmistaken aura that surrounded her lent meaning to the long wait and seemed to make it all worthwhile for her fans. Fulfilling customary rituals of the puja, she broke a coconut and folded her hands in reverence for a few moments to mark the auspicious occasion. Not new to the flashes of cameras, the actor quickly swished her hair bringing the smile back on her curled lips. The lensmen’s cameras went on a clicking spree even as the organisers of the event kept pleading with them not to obstruct her path. On the third floor, she paused for a few minutes to ‘share’ with the waiting presspersons her happiness for being associated with the showroom. “I’m happy to be working in Telugu film industry where people are warm and friendly,” she said in a singsong way. Refusing to divulge anything about ‘Kantri’, her film opposite Junior NTR that is scheduled for release next week, she simply said: “Just wait and watch.” Trying to sound politically correct when asked if she has any favourite heroes in the Telugu film industry, she said everybody was her favourite. Before any more questions could be asked, the actor capped the conversation with a big ‘Thank you’.
