KOLKATA: Pune FC earned some consolation beating Indian Bank 2-0 to end its I-League Division II campaign with a win at Guwahati’s Nehru Stadium on Sunday, according to information received here. In the inconsequential match between the two teams, which failed to qualify for the elite division, Pune got its goals in the first half through K. Rahul (11th minute) and substitute Abhishek Yadav (28th). The Pune side ended fifth with three points while Indian Bank finished at the bottom losing all its matches. Mumbai FC, Mohammedan Sporting, Chirag United and Vasco SC were the four teams to make it to the elite stage of the I-League (2008-09).
