Thiruvananthapuram: The IT business group of the Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation (Keltron) is all set to enter the online tutoring sector. It is joining hands with Edurite Technologies, a subsidiary of tutorvista.com, a global tutoring company, to offer tuition and preparation for tests. Edurite Tutorials has launched its services in Kerala under the name Keltronedurite. The 10 centres that have started functioning will offer tuition for students of Class 9, 10, 11 and 12 in the CBSE syllabus and competitive examinations such as the Common Entrance Test, All India Engineering Entrance Exams (AIEEE) and All India Pre-Medical Test exams covering Maths and Science. “We will be going forward with different business models and initiatives in Kerala to meet the challenges in technology-led education. The tie-up with Edurite will help us develop quality content for the education segment,” Keltron managing director Om Prakash Dua told a press conference here on Monday. “The collaboration will lead to the development of credible platform that will help children improve their academic performance,” CEO of Edurite Technologies Srikanth Iyer said. Online teacher help would be available round the clock to clarify doubts. President of Edurite B.G. Purushothaman said the package also had a feedback mechanism for parents to ensure consistent improvement in the children’s scores.
