Government to set up fashion institute

Foundation stone to be laid on May 7


To be run by Centre for Continuing Education Kerala

Union Minister of State M.A. Fatmi to lay foundation stone


KOLLAM: The Institute of Fashion Technology Kerala is being established by the State government at Perinad near here.

The institute will function under the management of the Centre for Continuing Education Kerala in technical collaboration with the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Mumbai.

The foundation stone for the institute will be laid by Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development M.A. Fatmi on May 7 at a function to be presided over by Minister for Education M.A. Baby.

The keynote address at the inaugural function will be delivered by Minister for Food C. Divakaran. Ministers P.K. Gurudasan and N.K. Premachandran will address. Director of NIFT I.B. Peerzada will read the report.
