Kanivu Awards announced

KOLLAM: Kanivu Awards, instituted by the Kanivu Niyama Masika, were announced here on Monday. The Rashtriya Acharya award goes to V.M. Sudheeran.

The Niyama Ratnam award will be given to Justice K. Sukumaran.

Vellappally Natesan has been named for the Manava Seva Ratnam award. Samskarika Shreshta award will go to K. Ravendranathan Nair,

and the Rashtriya Vijnan award to Sooranad Rajashekaran. A. Yunus Kunju has been adjudged for the Visdyabyasa Pracharak award. Medical Vidyabyasa Seva award will go to M. Abdul Aziz.

The awards will be presented at a function to be organised here on

August 31 to commemorate the death anniversary of the former Union

Minister A.A. Rahim. Congress leader K. Karunakaran will inaugurate the meeting.
