MLC’s plea to Collector

Staff Reporter

Kakinada: MLC N. Sesha Reddy has requested District Collector Gopalakrishna Dwivedi to improve facilities in primary health centres and community health centres to reduce burden on the Government General Hospital (GGH) at Kakinada.

It would make good quality health care services available in rural areas, thus preventing people from flocking to the GGH, which would stretch its resources to the limit.

The steps taken by the Collector to develop GGH into a model hospital, are welcome but he would be doing great help to the poor by strengthening the rural health care setup while making the GGH live up to the people’s expectations, the MLC opined.

In a press release, Mr. Reddy said he would extend full cooperation to the Collector’s efforts in this regard and, complimented him for effective implementation of Rajiv Arogyasri scheme.
