Parcel service on rails

BANGALORE: Books Logistics, a Bangalore-based logistic company on Sunday, commenced parcel service through trains. Named ‘Parcel on Rail’, the facility offers parcel and courier service on the South Western Railway (SWR) network.

Initially, parcels and courier will be transported on 14 trains of SWR. The facility will be extended to other trains and other regions later. Books Logistics proprietor P. Raghavan said the company intends to open 500 outlets across South India to receive and deliver parcels and couriers.
