Accused on indefinite fast

Staff Reporter

TIRUNELVELI: The Tenkasi Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh bomb blast case accused began an indefinite fast at Palayamkottai Central Prison here on Monday in protest against the reported remarks made by Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil in the Parliament criticising Hindu outfits for the incident.

Prison sources said Siva alias Sivanandam, Ravi alias Ravi Pandian, Murugan, KTC Kumar and Narayna Sarma refused to take food from Monday morning, condemning the remarks of Mr. Patil, who reportedly informed the Parliament that Hindus, having close affinity to the RSS and Hindu Munnani, had orchestrated the hurling of pipe bombs at RSS Office at Tenkasi on January 25 last.

The accused have been lodged at the Palayamkottai Central Prison.
