Mumbai: Delhi, winner of the 2007-08 Ranji Trophy championship, is in super league Group ‘A’ with Saurashtra, Mumbai, Punjab, Orissa, Hyderabad, Rajasthan and Gujarat for the 2008-09 Ranji season. The super league Group ‘B’ consists of seven teams — Uttar Pradesh, Baroda, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Railways. Guajarat and Railways have been promoted to the super league. The Plate teams: Group ‘A’: Kerala, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Goa, Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand. Group ‘B’: Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Bengal, Vidarbha, Services and Tripura. Bengal and Himachal Pradesh are relegated to the Plate group. — Special Correspondent
