25 tonnes of atta for Ariyalur district
ARIYALUR: The district has been allotted 25 tonnes of atta for supply during May. Ariyalur taluk will receive nine tonnes, Udayarpalayam taluk 12 tonnes and Senthurai taluk four tonnes. Adequate stock would be maintained in all ration shops and the public could purchase atta in the place of wheat from the outlets, Collector R. Sudalaikannan informed.
According to another communication from the district administration, the Collector directed officials of departments concerned to take prompt action on the 317 petitions he received from the public on Monday during the weekly meeting held for redressing public grievances.
The petitions pertained to old age pension, identity cards for handicapped persons, tricycles, sewing machines and family card.
