KOCHI: A two-day State conference of the Kerala Bakers Association will begin at Ernakulam on May 10. Union Minister Subodh Kanth Sahai will inaugurate the conference at Marine Drive at 10 a.m., said association president P.M. Sankaran. A seminar on ‘Thanimayude Tharavattilekku’ on traditional dishes of the State will be held. Opposition leader Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the session at 2 p.m. State Fisheries Minister S. Sarma will inaugurate the valedictory meet on May 11 at 10 a.m. A ‘Bake Fit’ declaration, an attempt to ensure cleanliness and hygienic practices in baking units, will be made at the valedictory session. Association State secretary A. Noushad and district president Vijesh Viswanath were also present at the press conference.
