HYDERABAD: Leaders of the Ranga Reddy district unit of the Telugu Desam Party on Monday lashed out at Telangana Rashtra Samiti founder K. Chandrasekhara Rao for making personal attacks on the TDP and targeting Medchal MLA T. Devender Goud. The district unit of the TDP held a strategy meeting with its representatives right down to the mandal and village level to discuss campaign strategy for the bypoll for Vikarabad Assembly constituency. The TDP has fielded G. Sanjeeva Rao from the segment. Polit Bureau member Mr. Goud told partymen that they had better things to do than to take a person like Mr. Rao seriously. RidiculedParigi MLA K. Hareeshwar Reddy pooh-poohed the TRS leader’s criticism saying it was an irony coming from a person who could not control the 26 MLAs that his party once had, describing Mr. Rao as a man incapable of handling of his own party affairs Ranga Reddy district leaders including M. Mahender Reddy, Narra Ravi Kumar and K.S. Ratnam derided the TRS chief saying he had reached his wits end. No locus standiThey said the TRS did not have any locus standi to criticise the TDP and said whatever problems the party had was only because of the ‘unholy nexus’ it had shared with the Congress.
