NEW DELHI: Vijay Dahiya smashed the Oil and Natural Gas Commission (ONGC) attack to set up a seven-wicket victory for Air India (North) in the final of the 18th all-India Om Nath Sood memorial cricket tournament at the Roshanara Club ground here.

Dahiya, the ‘man-of-the-match’, hit 82 off 64 balls with 12 fours and two sixes to leave ONGC gasping.

Sent in, ONGC managed 215 for nine in 40 overs. The target hardly made an impact on Air India, thanks to some excellent batting by Rohit Prakash (21, 28b), Shafiq Khan (50 n.o., 33b) and Manvinder Bisla (44, 33b).

For ONGC, the runs came from Ajay Ratra (57, 57b), Mohammad Saif (38 n.o., 26b) and Sandeep Sharma (32, 49b).
