3,161 selected in preliminary test

VIZIANAGARAM: SP Vikram Singh Mann said the 5-km run, the preliminary test that began on April 28 for recruitment of police constables ended on Tuesday. In men’s category, 3,161 candidates out of 4,223 and in the women’s category, 286 out of 356 candidates participated in the run were declared qualified for the second phase of physical fitness test to be held for men from June 6 to 15 and for women on June 16 at Police Parade Grounds here. Hall-tickets to the candidates selected in the preliminary run were already issued, he said. – Correspondent
