KHAMMM: Telugu Desam President N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday wanted his party men to reach out to people in a big way organizing programmes on the lines of his Mee kosam Chaitanya yatra at the district level. He took time off the Yatra schedule and was closeted with the leaders of the district unit near Papatapalli village.

He recalled that the Cycle Yatra oranised by the party in Khammam district a few months ago helped in making a big impact on the cadres as well as the general public. He asked them to continue activities aimed at mobilizing the public opinion against the Congress and sustain the momentum. People were disillusioned with the government, he said exuding confidence that it would be the turn of the Telugu Desam again.

Mr. Naidu made it clear that the party would certainly recognize the work of the leaders. The party men who had worked exceptionally well would get due recognition. The delimitation of the Assembly constituencies had resulted in some kind of dislocation and the party would address the issue by fielding the right candidate in every constituency. It was for the leaders to concentrate first on the issues pertaining to people. A host of leaders were in a long wait at the SFS school on the outskirts of the town where he camped last night. A few of them wanted to meet him personally but could not do so because of the tele-conference he had with the party leaders. Mr. Naidu met the advocates, students’ wing and teacher union affiliated to the party. He also had a separate meeting with the minority women on issues related to them. As part of his Mee Kosam Chaitanya Yatra, he met a number of chilli farmers and interacted with them. He told them that the Yatra was meant for taking sock of their woes. Better times were ahead as the party would make a comeback in the State, he observed. Senior leaders such as Thummala nageswara Rao, Nama Nageswara Rao, Koneru Nageswara rao, Kondabala Koteswara Rao, M. Baby Swarnakumari and Potla nageswara rao were among those who took part in the meetings.
