Contractor robbed, search for three

ARIYALUR: Police are on the look out for three persons who robbed a contractor of Rs.1.48 lakh in cash after intercepting him at Annimangalam on the Tirumanur-Lalgudi Road on Tuesday.

The contractor, G. Kasinathan was proceeding in his moped, after encashing a draft issued for a government contract, when the trio following him on a motorcycle intercepted and robbed him at Annimangalam, police said.

The robbers were yet to be identified.
