Homage paid to Nirmala Deshpande

New Delhi: Dignitaries, friends and family members of noted Gandhian Nirmala Deshpande, who passed away last week, paid homage to her at an all-religion prayer meeting here on Tuesday. Vice President Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his wife Gursharan Kaur and Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit attended the prayer meeting held at Gandhi Smriti this evening. Former Tamil Nadu Governor Bhishm Narain Singh, late President Shankar Dayal Sharma’s wife Vimla Sharma and Mahatma Gandhi’s grand daughter Tara Gandhi were also present .
