Belgaum: The Visvesvaraya Technological University signed a memorandum of understanding with Germany-based Brockhaus Group and University of Siegen here on Tuesday. According to a release issued by Registrar K.V.A. Balaji, the objective of the MoU is to enhance institution-industry partnership. The collaboration focusses on the objectives of knowledge development and research and development projects through international exchange programmes involving students, faculty, exchange of research and development project results, publications and interaction. It also facilitates programmes towards enhancement of quality of teaching, learning and research and development activities at VTU, student exchange and development programmes, faculty exchange and development programmes, research and development works conducted jointly by the partners. As per the MoU, curricular and co-curricular programmes will be offered at VTU by experts from Brockhaus Group and University of Siegen. Besides, there will be creation of Intellectual Property and Commercialisation of the Intellectual Property Rights on mutually agreed terms and conditions.
