Centre okays NREGP labour budget

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Centre has approved the labour budget for the National Rural Employment Guarantee Programme submitted by the State government. Local Administration Minister Paloli Mohammed Kutty said in a release here on Tuesday that the labour budget for Wayanad, Palakkad, Idukki and Kasaragod districts was approved by the empowered committee. A sum of Rs.165 crore was sanctioned in the first instalment.
