Stability is the key: Krishna

Staff Correspondent

KOLAR: The Congress party alone can provide a stable government which will help achieve overall development of the State, former Chief Minister S.M. Krishna said.

He was addressing a campaign meeting of the Congress candidate, K. Srinivas Gowda, at Gandhi Park here on Tuesday. Referring to the working of the previous JD(S)-BJP coalition Government, Mr. Krishna said that except for a village stay by the then Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, that government did not achieve anything for the welfare of the people. He exhorted voters not to create uncertainty by creating a hung Assembly but to give a clear cut majority to the Congress to form a stable government. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Srinivas Gowda claimed that he had brought many developmental schemes such as underground drainage to the constituency during his three terms. Congress candidate for Srinivaspur K.R. Rameshkumar ridiculed the JD(S)-BJP Government. MLCs V.R. Sudarshan and Nisar Ahmad were present.
