Houses burgled

TIRUNELVELI: A sum of Rs. 4 lakh-worth gold ornaments and cash were burgled from houses.

Burglars stole Rs.3.25 lakh-worth gold ornaments, silver articles and cash from the house of Revenue Inspector of Mela Paattam, Ramachandran, at Reddiyarpatti.

Burglars stole Rs. 75,000-worth valuables and cash from the house of Jayakumar at Bharani Nagar.

The culprits also unsuccessfully attempted to break the doors of three more houses in various parts of Palayamkottai.
