SBT in semifinals
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: State Bank of Travancore, Lovers CC and Masters CC entered the semifinals of the Captain Jerry Premraj Memorial all-Kerala Twenty20 cricket tournament at the Agriculture College ground on Tuesday.
In the quarterfinals, State Bank of Travancore scored a facile nine-wicket win over Pankajakasturi CC while City Cricketers thrashed Lovers CC by eight wickets. Masters CC crushed Murugans CC by 116 runs.
The scores: Lovers CC 79 for eight in 20 overs (Sandeep three for 10, Aaron three for 16) lost to City Cricketers 82 for two in 7.4 overs (Aaron 28)
Pankajakasturi CC 104 for five in 20 overs (Sachin 64) lost to SBT 105 for one in 13.4 overs (Raiphy Vincent Gomez 38 n.o., V. Suresh 31)
Masters CC 224 for five in 20 overs (Mani 96, Anfal 65) bt Murugans CC 108 in 15 overs (Sanuth three for 16).
