Sangareddy: In broad day light an unknown assailant slit the intestines of a young man in the busy Nalsabgadda in front of Motimahal theater here on Tuesday. Eighteen-year-old Kouri Lal was manning his uncles Hanmanth’s general merchant shop, Rama Traders, when the assailant walked in to the shop and asked about the whereabouts of Hanmanth. He waited for fifteen minutes drew a dagger and attacked the young man. Ashok Kumar owner of the next shop, the only eye witness to see the lone assailant running towards the Nalsabgadda area, heard the cries of Kouri Lal for help and rushed to help. Kouri was standing at the entrance of the shop and was profusely bleeding. He collapsed while Ashok Kumar called for help. Medak superintendent of police Mohammad Iqbal told reporters that Kouri died on the way to hospital. He said that the preliminary inquires yielded no results about any animosity that might have lead to the murder. Meanwhile the Rajasthani community called for a bandh in the local market protesting the murder of Kouri. The police also kept a vigil on the locality which is communally sensitive.
