Police keeping vigil on Maoist sympathisers Help of enforcement committees to be sought Sangareddy: The Medak district administration and police have decided to control clashes during election campaign of VIPs by strictly adhering to the “one at a time” policy. Keeping in mind the earlier experiences in the Ramayampet, Dommata and Siddipet assembly segments where Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu’s convoy was attacked by trouble makers particularly in the narrow streets of villages, the police would seek the help of mandal level enforcement committees. These committees consisting of police and revenue officers would allow only one political party at a time to canvass there by taking the pressure off the flash points. The mandal level enforcement committees would also monitor any violation of code of conduct in the assembly segments going for polls in the district. The police is also keeping a vigil on the Maoist sympathisers as the three segments going for elections are known for their Maoist activity. No defacementThe district Collector Piyush Kumar addressing a poll related press conference here on Tuesday said that defacement of public property for electioneering would not be tolerated. He said that it could be done if the owner of private property gives a written consent. According to the Collector the limitations on entry of vehicles and persons set by the election commission during the process of nominations is being strictly implemented. He informed that training on dummy electronic voting machines is being organized all over the three assembly segments till 20th of this month. Training for the presiding and assistant presiding officers would be held in 11 and 22. Polling preparationsRandomized allotment of 532 polling stations and the EVM machines would be announced to the polling staff only before they leave for their duties from their reception centres in Tahasildars office in Ramayampet for Ramayampet and Government Degree college in Siddipet for Siddipet and Dommat.
