Congress expels six members
Bangalore: The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee on Tuesday expelled six leaders, including zilla panchayat and former taluk panchayat presidents who were working against official candidates in the Assembly elections.
Speaking to presspersons, the KPCC General Secretary M. Ramachandrappa said that zilla panchayat members Rame Gowda of Malur and Roopa Puttaraju of Yeshwanthpur in Kolar district; Bakanur Basavaraj and Honnappa in Tumkur district, C.P. Rajanna, Gowramma and Somasekhar of Hunsur district had been expelled from the party for six years.
