EC visit to Mangalore

BANGALORE: Chief Election Commissioner N. Gopalaswami and Election Commissioners S.Y Quraishi and Navin Chawla will be on a two-day visit to the State from Wednesday for reviewing the poll preparedness in 10 districts going to polls in the second phase on May 16.

The commission will review the poll preparedness of Raichur, Koppal, Bellary, Chitradurga and Davangere districts in Bangalore on Wednesday. On Thursday, it will visit Mangalore to assess the preparedness in Dakshina Kananda, Uttara Kannada, Udupi, Chikmagalur and Shimoga districts, according to sources at the Chief Electoral Office here. — Special Correspondent
