CPI to support Bangarappa

BANGALORE: The Communist Party of India has announced its support for the Samajwadi Party candidate in Shikaripur, S. Bangarappa.

In a press release here on Tuesday, the member of the State executive Shivaraj R. Biradar stated that the party has decided to extend it support to Mr. Bangarappa to prevent the Bharatiya Janata Party leader B.S. Yeddyurappa from being elected. It has already started campaigning in the constituency, the release added. — Special Correspondent
