Help women, bankers told

KULITHALAI: The Indian Overseas Bank extended loans to the tune of Rs.32 lakh to 42 women self-help groups at a function held at Taragampatti near here recently.

The function was conducted to mark the shifting of the IOB’s Taragampatti branch to a new location.

Declaring open the new premises Collector T.N. Venkatesh urged the bankers in the district to extend all help to economic development of women, especially those in the rural areas.

He lauded the IOB, which is also the Lead Bank in the district.
