ALAPPUZHA: Two natives of Rajasthan were arrested by the Kariyilakulangara police here on Wednesday while travelling with Rs. 25 lakh. According to police, the arrested, Kantilal and Chittor Singh, had concealed the money in sacks in the vehicle and were nabbed during a routine vehicle check by the police on the National Highway-47 near Kayamkulam. The duo was travelling from Ernakulam to Kollam and are said to have told the police that the money was the sales collection from a garment shop in Ernakulam and intended for the shop’s owner in Kollam. A case has been registered and investigation is on. — Staff Reporter
