Students should be present at the centres well in time Electronic gadgets will not be allowed inside the exam hall VIZIANAGARAM: Regional Coordinator of EAMCET-2008 and principal of MVGR College of Engineering K.V.L. Raju has said that 4,258 students (engineering 3,381 and medicine 877) will write the examination on Thursday. Arrangements for conducting the examination at the four centres in the town were made, Dr. Raju said at a press conference on Wednesday. RTC servicesHe said that RTC would operate special services from the complex to MVGR College of Engineering and M.R. PG College in Poolbaugh. For the other two centres – M.R. College (Autonomous) and M.R. College for Women – the candidates must have to make their own arrangements. He instructed the candidates to be present at the centres one hour prior to commencement of the examination. The engineering examination would be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and medicine from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. The centres with hall-ticket numbers in brackets are: Engineering: MVGR College of Engineering, Block-II (3001001 to 3001650), M.R.PG College (3002001 to 3002999), M.R. Autonomous College (3003001 to 3003700), M.R. College for Women (3004001 to 3004500) and MVGR College of Engineering, Block-I (3005001 to 3005532). Medicine: MVGR College of Engineering, Block II (6001001 to 6001400) and MVGR College of Engineering Block-I (6002001 to 6002477). Hall-ticketsCandidates who had not received hall-tickets so far can download the same from the website ( http://www.eamcet2008.org). They must bring two passport size photographs and pay Rs. 20 in the form of a demand draft drawn in favour of Convenor, EAMCET-2008, Hyderabad, or in cash at the centres. Dr. Raju said that any type of electronic gadgets would not be allowed inside the examination hall. Students must bring only pen, eraser and sharpener. Pencils for marking on OMR sheets would be supplied at the centres itself, he added.
