“Appoint ophthalmic assistants”

VILLUPURAM: The Tamil Nadu Government Ophthalmic Assistants’ Association has sought appointment of ophthalmic assistants in all government hospitals and Primary Health Centres in the State. At the State general body meeting held here on Sunday, the association demanded that their basic pay enhanced from Rs.4,500 to Rs.5,000, on a par with their Central government counterparts.
