YSR campaign in Karnataka ridiculed

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has ridiculed Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s campaign in Karnataka eulogising his rule as “golden age” that could be replicated in the neighbouring State if people vote for Congress.

At a press conference here on Wednesday, TDP leader Ravula Chandrasekhara Reddy wondered if this meant the all-pervasive corruption, price rise, suicides by over 5,000 farmers and handloom weavers, making wealth in the name of irrigation and mining projects and building family assets of top leaders.

Accusing the State government of failing to check the price rise, he said the party would stage demonstrations in all district headquarters on May 15.
