Indramohan scores century

CUDDALORE: Indramohan struck an unbeaten century as Pondicherry Sara Sports defeated Cosmopolitan CC by 118 runs and booked a place in the semifinals of the fourth State-level cricket tournament here on Wednesday.

The scores:

Quarterfinals: Pondicherry Sara Sports 209 in 20 overs (Indramohan 101 n.o.) bt Cosmopolitan CC 91 for nine in 20 overs.

Pondy CC 166 for six in 25 overs (Shanthamoorthy 64 n.o., Raja 40) bt Academy ‘B’ 105 in 22.5 overs.

Pre-quarterfinals:

Pondy CC 232 for eight in 25 overs (Shanthamoorthy 101) bt Thanjavur CC 133 for nine in 25 overs.

Nagai CC 137 for eight in 20 overs (Sabari 49) lost to Academy ‘B’ 138 for six in 19.4 overs.

Sathish Kumar shines

J. Sathish Kumar’s unbeaten 83 was the highlight of Associated CC’s six-wicket win over Warriors Avenue CC in a Canara Bank–Tiruchi DCA third division league cricket match in Tiruchi.

The scores: First division: Neptune CC 122 in 38.5 overs lost to Urumu Dhanalakshmi College 123 for five in 26.5 overs (T. Govindarajan 42); NIT 87 in 29 overs lost to Bishop Heber College ‘B’ 89 for one in 13.4 overs (M. Suresh 60 n.o.).

Golden Chariot ‘A’ CC 161 for nine in 41 overs (Peter four for 21) bt Zephyrs CC 126 in 31.2 overs (Bala Murugan four for 31).

Third division:

Tiruchi United CC 218 for nine in 44 overs (T. Chandran 61) bt Tiruchi Medical Reps CC 173 in 37.3 overs (Loganathan 63).

Warriors Avenue CC 175 in 40 overs (Sathish Kumar 66) lost to Associated CC 176 for four in 34.5 overs (J. Sathish Kumar 83 n.o.).

Fourth division: Golden Arrows CC 136 for four in 30 overs (R. Raghavendran 55 n.o.) lost to Krish CC 139 for seven in 22 overs (Lakshmanan 62).
