Wheelchairs distributed

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Wheelchairs were distributed on Tuesday to 25 persons at a programme organised by the Navajeevan Child Focussed Community Development Project. The programme was inaugurated by Public Works Minister Mons Joseph.

A press note issued here said the beneficiaries of the scheme were selected from Vembayam, Manikkal and Pullambra grama panchayats. In his inaugural address Mr. Joseph said the distribution of the wheelchairs was but a small part of the welfare activities carried out under the project. Project manager Gilbert Joseph presided, the press note said.
